Training Guides
The Concord GIANTS are committed to providing children with quality coaching – and that means equipping our families with the resources they need.
Coaches need to feel equipped to run effective training sessions, but non-coaching parents also need to understand how best to help their kids learn to play AFL, even if it is just so they can have a kick in the park after school.
Concord GIANTS coaches are required to attend coaching accreditation courses run by the AFL NSW/ACT and paid for by the Club. These courses are a good mix of theory and practice.
Information on coaching accreditation is on the AFL Community website, or contact our Coaching Coordinator, Ian Tucker.
On this page, we’ve gathered links to some training resources, developed for junior AFL champions.
General Codes of Conduct
All team and club officials, including coaches, parents, players and spectators are required to adhere to the AFL Codes of Conduct, and the AFL’s Kids First policy. The bylaws and other AFL Sydney Juniors policies are available on the Sydney Juniors website.
