Play Junior AFL.

Elevate your game. Stand tall with the Giants!

Ready to step up to local competition footy? Gear up and join the Giants!

Junior Australian Rules football is about far more than just what takes place within the boundary lines. At the Concord Giants, boys and girls aged 8 to 17 take the field to sharpen their athletic skills, cultivate self-belief, build lifelong friendships, and experience the strength of playing as one team.

From first-time footy players discovering the sport to seasoned athletes striving to elevate their game, every player finds a place to thrive in orange and charcoal.

Home Ground: St Luke's Oval, Concord

What to Expect Each Week

Midweek Training:
Our junior squads train once a week under the lights at St Luke's Oval in Concord. Training nights (typically Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday) are tailored by age division and finalized ahead of the season launch.

Weekend Game Days: Matches take place on Saturdays and Sundays against neighboring clubs across Sydney’s Inner West and metropolitan region. With a balanced mix of home fixtures at St Luke's Oval and away matches on rival turf, your weekends will be filled with competitive action.

Why Play Footy for the Giants?

Wearing the Giants jumper goes far beyond learning how to hit a target by foot or execute a clean mark. It's about personal growth, sportsmanship, and shared achievement.

Master the Fundamentals: Build core skills, game awareness, and athletic fitness under the guidance of dedicated coaches.

Forged Friendships: Create unbreakable bonds with teammates both on and off the field that carry well past game day.

Strength in Unity: Discover the value of collaboration, lifting up your teammates, and working toward a shared goal.

Pure Enjoyment: Play the game with enthusiasm, energy, and a drive to achieve your personal best.

Powered by Our Community

The kids wear the Giants colors on match day, but our families are the backbone of everything we do. The Concord Giants is entirely volunteer-driven and community-powered. From coaching staff and team managers to match officials, every position is held by passionate parents and local supporters.

We encourage every family to step up and play a role—whether that's managing a team roster, running water on game day, turning a sausage on the canteen BBQ, or bringing the noise from the crowd.

When our community rallies together, our young players gain an unforgettable sporting experience.

Finding Your Age Group

Junior Footy (Under 8s to Under 12s): Skill refinement, teamwork, and structured weekend match play.

Youth Footy (Under 13s to Under 17s/18s): Tactical play, full-field competition, and high-tempo skill execution.
