Concord GIANTS to host end of season gala days!

The mighty Concord GIANTS have been selected to host the end of season gala days at our new St Luke’s home. Time to welcome our friends (or rivals!) and show everyone what a great host club we are! We’ll need lots of volunteers to help put our best footy boot forward on the days so please let us know if you can help by contacting our Volunteer Coordinator, Alison Bowhill-Hayes.

We are a community focused club run by the community, for the community. We are always looking for people to assist. Whether it be cooking the BBQ, helping set up the fields or something more substantial you would be welcome to get involved.

Expressions of Interest

We are calling for expressions of interest from individuals that would like to coach or be an assistant coach,  who would like to manage a team or act as one of our Ground Managers throughout the season. To get involved download and complete the relevant form below (return details are provided on each form).

We are only too aware that there are many parents who would be great coaches and managers but who may feel intimidated or a little like ‘a fish out of water’ when it comes to AFL as opposed to other NSW footy codes. This is why we provide training and development opportunities for all coaches and managers throughout the season.

Coaches will be able to attend the Level 1 AFL coaches training at the SCG prior to starting. We will cover the costs of this which will qualify you to coach a Junior AFL team anywhere in Australia for four years.

We also offer specialist input from the AFL Development Department throughout the first half of your season. In addition with this we can now announce that there will also be individualised sessions developed especially for Concord Giants coaches and delivered by some of this nation’s most talented coaching staff from the GWS Giants.
