Thanks to Nick and GWS for this great opportunity – we cant wait for next Wednesday!

St Lukes Launch!

Thanks again to everyone who made the official opening of our new home at St Lukes such a great occasion. The ground and facilities will continue to be added to and many improvements will continue over the next year or two – it really will be a great home for Concord GIANTS, our friend Drummoyne Power and our combined youth team Canada Bay Canons.

Special thanks to the VIPs who attended the day and gave us such confidence that the great game of AFL will flourish in our corner of Sydney:

Sam Graham – CEO AFL NSW/ACT
Milan Serovich – President Drummoyne Power
Cr Helen McCaffrey – Mayor of the City of Canada Bay
Hon Craig Laundy – Federal Member for Reid
Natalie Baini – President Concord Giants
John Sidoti – Member for Drummoyne

A GIANT get together. What a great way to start a Wednesday!

The GIANTS are very excited to be hosting Channel Seven’s Sunrise program this Wednesday (June 28) as they do their weather crosses from GIANTS HQ at the WestConnex Centre at 1 Olympic Blvd, Sydney Olympic Park, all morning.

To make the morning a big success, we need a big group of proud and passionate GIANTS fans to come along to make some noise and have some fun.

The first cross is at 5.30am and the last cross is at 8.30am.

Everyone is encouraged to wear as much GIANTS gear as possible. To make the early start a bit easier, coffees and bacon and egg rolls will be available from 6.30am.

Sydney’s newest AFL precinct – our home ground at St Lukes Oval Concord – is taking shape and it is time to celebrate with an official opening… and squeeze in an unofficial round of footy while we’re at it.

This is OUR new facility. We want a HUGE showing on the day. We’re aiming to make it a really fun day, with a great carnival atmosphere and we’d love you to be a part of it.

St Lukes is the new home ground for the Concord Giants AND an alternative home ground for Drummoyne Power and the Canada Bay Cannons. The three home clubs are organising a gala day, with some Auskick and Junior Drummoyne Power v Concord Giants, plus some Youth Girls and Cannons demonstration matches on Saturday 1 July. (Registered players only.)
We welcome your family RSVP to help us in planning and catering. Although, of course, please feel free to bring family and friends on the day, even if they haven’t lodged an RSVP. It is a great opportunity to show them just how much fun AFL can be!

Concord GIANTS need you!

We are a community focused club run by the community, for the community. We are always looking for people to assist, and there’s great opportunities to help your mighty Concord GIANTS footy club by volunteering. We need people to help out with the end of season gala days on 19 August and 26 August and you can see all the ways you may be able to help your footy club here.

St Luke’s Launch: 1 July

We’re organising a gala day – and squeezing in an extra round of football – to launch our new home ground at St Luke’s Oval, Concord.

We share St Luke’s with our friends Drummoyne Power and our combined older age group team, the Canada Bay Cannons.

The scoreboard is in and looking mighty fine and we’re looking to put in a robust, mixed synthetic/grass surface… so we’ll get plenty of game time on it.

We’re looking to organise an one-off gala day, with some Auskick and Junior Concord Giants v Drummoyne Power, plus some Youth Girls and Cannons demonstration matches on Saturday 1 July. It is school holidays and there’s no official footy that weekend (it’s a bye).

This is OUR new home and a great new facility. Come and join us and be at the bounce for this exciting step in the history of our mighty Concord Giants footy club. We’re aiming to make it a really fun day, with a great carnival atmosphere and we’d love you to be a part of it!
